The Art of Receiving: A Journey of Healing and Expansion

For years, I prided myself on my ability to give. Giving came naturally—whether it was my time, energy, wisdom, or resources. It felt safe. It felt noble. And somewhere along the way, I had unconsciously tied my worth to how much I could offer. But receiving? That was another story entirely.

I used to think I was open to receiving.

I would say affirmations, set intentions, and do the inner work to call in abundance. But the truth was, my body told a different story.

Every time someone offered help, an opportunity, or even a compliment, I felt a quiet resistance—a subtle contraction in my chest, a tightening in my stomach, a need to justify, reciprocate, or prove myself worthy of it.

My mind had learned the language of receiving, but my body still carried the imprints of old patterns.

Receiving has been one of my deepest healing journeys, and it’s no coincidence that as I fully step into this new chapter of my business, I’m being asked to embody it on an entirely new level.

The Limiting Beliefs Behind Receiving

Receiving isn’t just about money or success—it’s about how we allow life to nourish us. And for many of us, there are layers of programming that make it feel unsafe or undeserved.

Some of the biggest beliefs I had to confront in my own healing were:

“I have to earn it.”

Somewhere along the way, I absorbed the belief that ease wasn’t allowed. That if I wanted to receive more, I had to work harder, prove my worth, and push myself to the limit.

This kept me in cycles of overgiving and burnout, always feeling like I had to do more before I could allow in the support, abundance, or rest I craved.

“If I receive, I owe something in return.”

This belief ran deep. I noticed how I would immediately think of how I could repay someone when they offered me something.

It was as if receiving put me in an unspoken debt. I had to learn that true receiving doesn’t create imbalance—it creates flow.

“If I receive too much, I’ll lose it.”

For years, I carried an unconscious fear that if I allowed myself to receive in a big way, something bad would happen. This fear wasn’t logical, but it was embedded in my nervous system. It was an old survival pattern that kept me playing small, avoiding risk, and staying in familiar levels of ‘just enough.’

“People will think I’m selfish or greedy.”

As a healer and a guide, I had absorbed the idea that my work should be solely about service and that financial prosperity or success could somehow dilute my integrity. I had to dismantle the false notion that spiritual work and abundance were at odds with each other.

Receiving as an Initiation

This past year has been one of complete transformation—not just in my personal healing, but in the very foundation of how I do business.

I knew I was ready for something bigger, but my ability to expand was directly tied to my ability to receive. The old ways wouldn’t work anymore.

I have spent years structuring my business in a way that allowed people to come in and out, offering sessions and guidance at accessible rates so that I could serve as many people as possible.

But as I evolve, my spirit made it clear: It’s time to shift into deeper, more profound work.

Work that requires spaciousness.

Work that required a new level of energetic exchange.

So, I let go.

I released the structure of one-off sessions.

I opened myself to high-touch mentorship.

And programs that span from 6 weeks to 6 months.

I am leaning into my soul’s knowing that my work is meant to hold powerful leaders, healers, and visionaries who are ready for deep transformation.

I see where I had been capping my own receiving out of fear—fear of being too much, fear of leaving others behind, fear of fully stepping into my power.

The moment I truly let myself receive—without justification, without apology, without needing to prove anything—everything changed.

Is this easy?

Not all of the time. 😹 The few that I have shared this with have pushed back.

And I’m taking in everyone’s concerns and not making them my own.

My New Way of Working: Embodying Abundance

Now, I work differently.

Reiki sessions will soon be for only those who are in my mentorship programs.

I will hold fewer clients but at a much deeper level.

I offer mentorship that honors the depth of transformation I bring. I no longer shrink myself to make others comfortable or operate from an outdated paradigm of struggle.

And most importantly, I receive.

I receive rest.

I receive wealth.

I receive spaciousness.

I receive the love and support of my community.

I receive the divine guidance that flows through me without questioning if I deserve it.

Because the truth is, receiving isn’t passive. It’s not about waiting for good things to come to you—it’s an active yes to the life you’re meant to live.

This is the new paradigm I’m stepping into.

And for those who are ready to walk this path with me, I invite you to open yourself to the possibility that receiving is not selfish.

It is sacred.

It is your birthright. It is the key to the next evolution of your soul’s journey.

Are you ready to receive?
